Mitsubishi Chemical Europe GmbH is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation. At our Regional Headquarters for Europe we promote the collaboration between each group company in Europe and central resources in Japan. The Opportunity:

You will join two or three of our multi-discipline commercial teams operating in a technical or plant environment where you will develop your knowledge and experience and work on real issues. We’ll provide you with a personally tailored support and development programme, including senior manager mentoring to help you achieve your full potential and make an impact on the business.

What we’re looking for:

You must have (or expect to have) a Master’s Degree in a relevant technical discipline such as Materials Science / Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other technical discipline e.g. Physics or Mathematics. International Business graduates with a strong chemical industry interest could also be considered. Previous industrial experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Given the nature of our business, excellent verbal and written English and German skills are required, other European language skills would be an advantage.

We’re looking for highly driven individuals who want to take their engineering careers further in the chemical industry and have the potential to become the future leaders in our company. Those individuals must demonstrate project management skills, an analytical and problem-solving mind, a team focus, a collaborative working style, and a desire to establish an international career. Safety is a high priority in the chemical industry and so you must also demonstrate an awareness of HSE principles.

What we are offering:

This 2-year program will provide commercial training in two to three business domains across our group of companies throughout our European locations. Your daily activities will be extremely diverse and may include placements in Technical sales, Sales & Marketing, and strategic / global projects. This is an opportunity to learn various businesses within the Mitsubishi Chemical Europe Group and build your knowledge and experience in a continuously evolving industry and growing company. Your career progression path could include (but is not limited to) Sales / Business Development, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Operational Management.

Within your placement rotation you could undertake an international assignment in two of the following countries: Germany, Belgium or Netherlands and therefore you must be geographically mobile.
