We are again looking for creative patch designs for our coveralls and patches project. So if you feel like realizing a patch according to your ideas about the student council, now is your chance. Just send us your idea as a drawing, graphic or vector file – together we can work on your patch. If your patch is realized, you will receive an exclusive Henning heart patch and of course your own patch.

You can design your patch according to your own ideas – it should only have a student context. This includes student events, everything around the first time, courses of studies, subjects, milestones, places, things you have to have done or funny things around your studies.

Send us your entry:

The competition for the room name for the large multi-purpose room of the student council is over; and we have a worthy winner!

The room will be called B.A.R.D.O.W., as an acronym for “Nonsense Acronym to Reminisce with the Dissipated Ordinary of Thermodynamics”, meaning of course Professor Bardow, former head of the Chair of Technical Thermodynamics, who recently moved to ETH Zurich.

Our fellow student Simon Urban must have racked his brains over this.

If the contribution to this room name was not ingenious enough, Professor Bardow also helped out significantly via Twitter:

Thus the result is also clear, from 489 delivered votes 310 are allotted to B.A.R.D.O.W.!

Of course Simon wins Merch from our current collection and may surely be one of the first who can indulge in memories of Professor Bardow in the B.A.R.D.O.W., as he writes so beautifully in his article:

Akronyme. Menschen mögen Akronyme. Wissenschaftler lieben Akronyme.

(Central Auditorium for Research and Learning), KARL (Koordinierte abwechslungsreiche revitalisierende Lernunterbrechung) oder aber auch CARL (Center for Ageing, Reliability and Lifetime Prediction of Electrochemical and Power Electronic Systems).

Also on the stairs are the “Machine Room” and “RWDR: Richtig-Gewichtiger-Dings-Raum”.

We are happy that everyone had so much fun naming a room and thank everyone who sent in a room name!

Hey Maschi, we have something new for you!

Every day we receive great offers for jobs, internships, theses and internships. After the failure of our mailing lists we missed the opportunity to share these offers with you. Therefore we have now launched a new job portal for you.

This job portal does not require mailing lists and is located here on our website. Click on the button to get to the page. Without detours you can also access the job portal via fsmb.eu/jobs.

There you have the possibility to sort the offers for you.

Companies and institutes can independently publish offers on this portal, which are moderated by us.

Of course there are not so many offers online in the beginning, but there will be more soon.

We wish you much fun and success in your job search Your favorite student council
